Sekisixyu Kameyamayaki is a type of pottery-making studio in Hamada
city, Shimane pref , Japan.
I have been working in this type of pottery-making since 1992.
I've produced many works with my father, mother and younger sister. At 35 (2006),
my father began to work in the kiln.
My family and I believe our extensive work in this type of pottery-making
will help us produce
many fine works for our customers and are confident of and look forward to seeing many satified clients.
We have just added a shop in our studio and already have many orders in
the works.
Many of our pieces can be found in our store; however our website contains
all our products,
which includes pieces we couldn't fit in our store inventory.
When you are visiting Arifuku hot spring, Mimata hot spring, or the Asahi
hot spring in
Shimane Aquarium, please stop by our store.
Our hours are 08:00 to 18:00 on business days.
If you are an out-of-town customer, or are a considerable distance from
our shop, please call ahead first
before you come to pick up your item(s).

My father was born on 1931. He began the ceramic art, after graduating
from the
elementary school. @Immediately, he was the Fukuoka prefectural Agano-yaki
Totoki-gama, and began the training. He had been self-trained for 25 years
after that, and repeated research of a ceramic art.
My father return to his birthplaceeed to the Shimane prefecture Hamada
City in
spring of 1971.
Kiln inherited the kiln used when my father's a master was young.
My father's a master was connected with the historic spot Kameyama Castle,
and named the name of kiln the Sekisixyu Kameyama-yaki.
My father has made many pieces using colorful glazes, such as Shinsixya,
Yakishime, Akanagashi, Aonagashi, black glaze, white glaze, and Irabo graze.
My father is trying hard making an excellent article from an original technique.

I was born in Japan Hamada-shi, Shimane on 1963.
I was registered at an Ootou elementary school of Tagawa-shi, Fukuoka for
one year. We have begun to live in Hamada-shi with a return of parents
afterwards.
I graduated from Hamada municipal Arifuku elementary school.
I graduated from Hamada municipal Arifuku junior high school.
I graduated from Shimane prefectural Hamada Senior High School
in 1983.
I graduated from Aoyama Gakuin University of Tokyo in 1988.
I was registered at accountant family of Ohara bookkeeping school of Tokyo afterwards for one year and majored accounting, bookkeeping.
I graduated from ceramics department of Yogyo Vocational Training Institute of Aichi Prefecture in 1991.
I returned home in Hamada-shi in 1992 and I looked up to father to a teacher
and have begun to make ceramics. I am making various ceramics such as a
vase, a cup, tableware etc.
